A Plea for Terry Jones to run to the cross

Dear Mr. Terry Jones,

You have not loved the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your mind and with all your strength.

You have not loved your neighbor as yourself.

You have not been merciful, pure in heart, or a peacemaker.

You have not turned the other cheek.

You have not forgiven others their trespasses, so your Heavenly Father will not forgive yours.

You have been full of strife and maliciousness, a slanderer, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless.

My hunch is that you have sought the praise of men rather than the praise of God.

You have blurred the lines between Christianity and America– an issue so many Christians need help with– and, therefore, have blurred the lines between what the blood of Christ actually purchased and what the elemental spirits of the world work for.

You have denied the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ– which is the power of God unto salvation for all who believe– by thinking there is another way righteousness is revealed on this earth.

Mr. Jones, on account of these the wrath of God is coming!  I want to see you with us in glory!  Run to the cross.  Only the blood of Christ can save you.  We do not want you to publicly “postpone” anything.  We want you to publicly repent of your sin and cling to Christ, for the sake of your soul, for the sake of misguided sheep, and for the sake of God’s glory!  Friend, it is good on this side!  It is good to trust in the sovereignty and goodness and grace of God.  It is good to preach nothing but Christ and him crucified.  It is good to be able to return good for evil.  It is good to be spit in the face and love our enemy.  It is good to live Christ and have dying be gain!  I want this for you.

Only because of His Blood,

Todd Morikawa
